Email jonathonwager@plaugstudios.com. I answer myself, usually within a day or two.

It helps to include the browser and computer you are using, what you were doing, and the exact text of any message the page showed. The number of slides and the project's file size help too.

Please don't attach the .wp3 unless I ask. It has your photos and voice recordings in it. If I do need it to track down a bug, I delete it once the fix is done.

Common problems

"This file is not a cabinet archive"

The file is not a Photo Story project, or only part of it was copied. Projects saved with Photo Story 3 always start with the letters MSCF. If you have another copy of the file, try that one.

The export is slow

The video is drawn and encoded on your own computer, so speed depends on it. On the Windows PC I test with, a 3-minute project with narration takes about 30 seconds at 720p. An older laptop can take several times as long. Keep the tab in front while it runs; browsers slow down background tabs.

The MP4 has no sound

Some browsers can encode video but not audio. The page says so when it happens. Current Chrome and Edge do both.

The caption font looks different

Captions are drawn with the font named in the project, if your computer has it. Photo Story projects often use Windows fonts, so on a Mac or Chromebook the page falls back to a similar font.

A transition or effect looks different

Crossfades, pan and zoom, captions and black and white are rebuilt. Other transition styles play as a crossfade, and other picture effects are left off. The page lists these right after you open a project, before you buy.
